WONDERF-yoU-L

Saturday:
How wonderful is a friend
who kindly offered advice
and insight for a noobie like Yanyi?

How wonderful is a friend
who came to show support
early in the cold cold morning
patiently awaited near the finish line
then feet ran besides feet
together passing through the finish line
at 34:45
on Yanyi's first ever 5k Bandana run!

How wonderful are friends
who planned for weeks
and boldly snuck into Yanyi's empty room
decorating
for hours
shamelessly making up excuses
just for the celebration
of Yanyi's belated birthday!

Sunday:
How wonderful are the friends
who willingly revealed their true feelings
and admitted their wrongdoings
even as those moments were accompanied with tears
tears of struggle
tears of sadness
tears of honesty

Monday:
How wonderful is a friend
who, without any given context,
sent Yanyi inspirational text:
"rest today in the peace that only he can provide"when I needed it the most.
#grateful

How wonderful is a friend who
consistently
shares
God moments and life excitements with Yanyi
through daily email!

To be honest,
Monday (today) was like hell for Yanyi.
There was not even a way for her to cheer herself up.
She tried, but could not find any way out.
She prayed, but was being too little faith.
She stumbled and fell.
She remained on the ground,
unable to pick herself back up.
Then the kindness of friends was like
the mix of sunshine and warm autumn breeze
gently comforting her
without even realizing their own awesomeness
There was nothing else she could respond
except with sincere smiles

Sometimes,
a kind word from a friend is
more powerful
than one's own thousand thoughts
As these simple words whisper
that life is still good.
It is okay to fall.
It is okay to stumble.
It is all okay.
Really, it is okay.
Try again next time.
Learn to embrace your imperfect self,
it is o o o o o o o k k k k k k a a a a a a a y y y y y y!
:)

Sidenote:
Sometimes I wonder why certain days just do not feel right. Then a lightbulb pops up and enlightens my mind: have you done AT LEAST one thing that you truly value and enjoy TODAY?

Do not wait for others to make your day.
Treat yourself well~ :)
Do at least one thing that you truly enjoy- drawing, skipping, screaming, smiling, wondering, wandering, dancing, tree climbing!

I just did something that I enjoy;
Writing makes me happy, who cares if it is not perfect!
Imperfection is more real anyway.
