A summer of overcoming personal fear
stepping out of comfort zone
being challenged
reflecting upon self weaknesses
fighting and accepting
everything that makes up my identity

An adult leader once shared:
"seeking that beauty after removing all the mess"
There are so many messy areas in our lives
what do we do?
ignore it and pretend as if it never exist
stay there in the mess until it numbs our senses?
or
take an active role in fixing the mess?
I learned to not be discourage by any mess
(A few weeks ago: a group of three junior high youths and I were helping somebody move out of her apartment. There were so many personal belongings lying in the livingroom that it instantly overwhelmed all of us. How in the world are we supposed to move them from the second fl. to the first, then to the car, then to the new apartment? The secret to solving the problem is perseverance. In this case, the youths set the best example of perseverance. Without any word of complaint, they started moving each item one by one, up the stairs, down the stairs, up down up down up down for probably 50x! I was so encouraged by their willingness to work in God's name. That is a true example of servant leaders!)
instead
stick my hand into the mess and get working
something beautiful has to come out of it
Disorder comes from the lack of effort to maintain order
mess + effort = order
mess + active will to seek = beauty
"No matter how slow we go, as long as we don't stop, we WILL get there"
